The All-China Women's Federation, in collaboration with Beijing Women's Federation, arranged for a group of Iranian diplomats to visit a cultural activity center, based in a community on Tuanjiehu Street, in eastern Beijing's Chaoyang District, on November 21, 2019. The group, composed of 20-plus members, was headed by spouse of Iranian ambassador to China, Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh.

The diplomats learned about the local women's participation in the administration of their community, and how the women have played their roles in maintaining community stability, protecting the environment, helping impoverished residents, improving local traffic conditions and aiding the elderly and disabled.

Mrs. Keshavarzzadeh said women in Tuanjiehu have made contributions to the administration of their community, and they have provided volunteer services and carried out cultural exchanges. The inspection tour enabled the Iranian diplomats to deepen their understanding of Chinese women and children's development, and to learn about Chinese women's federations' good practices in advancing the development of women and children. Iran has women's organizations similar to those in China. The Iranian diplomats hoped to bring Chinese women's experiences back to their country, and to help advance women and children's development.
