Xia Jie Meets Cambodian Senate Committee President

Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, met a 10-member Cambodian delegation headed by Ty Borasy, President of the Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Media Publicity Committee of Cambodia's Senate, in Beijing on July 10, 2019. Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met a 10-member Cambodian delegation headed by Ty Borasy, President of the Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Media Publicity Committee of Cambodia's Senate, in Beijing on July 10, 2019.

Xia spoke positively of the friendly relations between China and Cambodia, and especially between women of the two countries. She outlined Chinese women's historic achievements reached during the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and in particular, since the 18th CPC National Congress under the firm leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. Xia also introduced ACWF's major work.

Borasy praised Chinese women for their development, and for the achievements of ACWF's work. She expressed gratitude for the help and support China has provided for Cambodia. She said that Cambodia's Senate is willing to continue its support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and to help deepen bilateral cooperation.

The Cambodian delegation visited China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
