Xia and Voicila spoke of the China-Romania relationship and friendly exchanges between women's organizations of the two countries. They both expressed the willingness to make efforts to promote women's cooperation, enhance women's economic empowerment, improve women's ability to achieve development, and create a better international environment, which will benefit women's equal development with that of men.

Xia highlighted ACWF's major work and Chinese women's development and achievements under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi has delivered a series of important speeches concerning women's development and women's work, in which he has pointed out the direction for the development of women's undertakings and women's federations' work for a new era. The ACWF and the Romanian Social-Democrat Women's Organization (OFSD) have a deep friendship and high-level representatives from both sides have paid mutual visits. Women of the two countries should enhance communications, deepen friendly relations, improve mutual learning to promote women's development and make greater contributions to advancing the friendship between Chinese and Romanian people, Xia said.

Voicila said the Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Romania, is in charge of the country's implementation of "16+1" cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative. She visited Beijing to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on behalf of her country. She outlined Romania's new law on state-private management and the "16+1" women's entrepreneurship conference.
