Xia Meets UNICEF Officials

Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met Karin Hulshof, Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and Cynthia McCaffrey, the newly appointed UNICEF's Representative to China, in Beijing on April 10, 2019.

Xia expressed gratitude for UNICEF's long-term support for the development of Chinese children's undertakings. She praised the achievements reached in the cooperation between ACWF and UNICEF in the past four decades. Quoting detailed statistics, Xia outlined Chinese women's development during the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, especially since China began implementing the reform and opening-up policy.

Both sides said they will enhance and expand cooperation, and open a new chapter of friendly exchanges and cooperation between ACWF and UNICEF.
