Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met a 21-member delegation in Beijing on March 1, 2019. The delegation, headed by Robert Griffiths, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB), was composed of cadres of communist parties from countries in North America, Oceania and North Europe.

Xia outlined the achievements reached in the cause of Chinese women's development under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. Xia also explained ACWF's major projects. Some delegates shared their countries' and parties' good practices in promoting women's development. Xia discussed women's participation in politics, women's employment and family issues with the delegates.

The delegation visited China at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee. Members of the delegation included leaders of communist parties from the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the United States and Canada.
