As part of the China-Australia Human Rights Techniques Cooperation Program, and at the invitation of Australian Human Rights Committee, a six-member delegation of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) visited Australia from November 10 to 24, 2018. The delegation was headed by Gao Shawei, Director-General of ACWF's Legal Department.
During their visit, the delegates learned about Australia's laws, regulations, policies and good practices regarding promoting gender equality in the workplace, the elimination of gender-based discrimination in the workplace, the prevention of sexual harassment and the improvement of childbearing protection. They also discussed effective measures to better ensure Chinese women's equal access to various social resources.
