A national campaign targeting at education at construction sites was launched in Beijing this June, aiming to care for left-behind children in rural areas around the country.
As part of the campaign, an exchange activity for rural left-behind children and parents was held at a construction site of a women and children's hospital in Anning District, Lanzhou City, Northwest China's Gansu Province, on August 27.
Experts and volunteers gave lectures on safety knowledge to children, and exchange views on family education and communication skills with parents who left hometown to work as construction workers. They also organized parents and children to attend parent-child activities.
