Volunteers invited Pingping, a deaf and mute child who is good at drawing, to walk out of the mountainous village she lives in for the first time on June 18, to create painting from nature and to visit a painting exhibition in the downtown area of Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

Pingping lives in Heyu Township, Chongqing's Chengkou County. In the fall quarter of 2018, she was found as an uneducated school-age child by Heyu Elementary School. Since there was no way for her to keep up with her peers, the school's principal Gao Peng and his colleagues tutored the girl at her home. Since then, Pingping has had her own paintbrushes and has been showing her talent for painting.

After two year's learning, Pingping's drawing skills was getting better. Song Qin, the child's art instructor, began to look for more professional teachers for her through WeChat. Soon after, Pingping's stories and paintings impressed several young volunteers from a local art studio.

They drove hundreds of kilometers to Chengkou to visit Pingping, and began to teach her online.

Xu Xiaojiao, one of the volunteers, hoped that Pingping will feel the warmth of society and firm up her dream of painting.
