An embroidery art exhibition featuring Zou Yingzi's works was launched on August 14, 2020, at Suzhou Museum, in Suzhou City, East China's Jiangsu Province. Zou is a distinguished Chinese artist and master craftsperson.

The exhibition displays Suzhou's unique embroidery culture and art, with more than 20 representative Suzhou embroidery masterpieces created by Zou available for audiences to view.

Born in Zhenhu Sub-district, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, in 1972, Zou has been devoted to traditional embroidery for decades.

She began to learn embroidery from her mother at the age of 6 and has dedicated herself to the study of embroidery techniques for the past 40 years. In addition to traditional embroidery skills, Zou has integrated other artistic practices into her works, including painting, photography and sculpturing.

In 2008, Zou created "Zou's Di Di needlework," which is derived from her experiences stitching soles on shoes. The name conveys that people should have a heart of thankfulness and be grateful to those who have helped them. In 2011, Di Di needlework obtained national patent status.

Being a senior craftsperson, Zou has won many honors and titles over the years, including National Outstanding Young Arts and Crafts Artist, Arts and Crafts Master of Jiangsu Province and Outstanding Young Folk Arts Talent in Jiangsu Province.

"I believe that from the day I was born, I was destined to embroider," Zou said.

The exhibition will run until October 22, 2020.
