Two women employees were selected among the 10 "Most Beautiful Railway Employees" of 2019, announced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and China State Railway Group Co, Ltd on January 10.

They are Cui Xin, head of the women workers' team of quality inspection of the Qushui subsidiary of the Bridge Construction Co, Ltd, China Railway 11th Bureau Group Co, Ltd, and Zhang Runqiu, business instructor at the Beijing South Railway Station.

Cui is the only candidate from the railway construction sector. She led her team to inspect the quality of the nearly 450,000 sleepers used on the 403-kilometer longnewly built rail track of the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway, at the initial section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway.

In order to ensure the quality of nearly 31.5 million inspection points, they worked hard and achieved a 100 percent pass rate for all sleepers.

Zhang Runqiu is the business instructor at Beijing South Railway Station. Working with the Runqiu Service Team, named after her, Zhang set up a service hotline, a mother-to-child nursing room, and a children's entertainment area to improve service at thestation.

In addition, she innovatively provides private customized services for different people through appointments and consultations. Under her leadership, her team serves around 1,000 passengers each day, and solves 1,500 problems for travelers on average per day.

The selection of "Most Beautiful Railway Employees," held once a year, gives awards to outstanding employees from more than three million rail workers in operation and maintenance, passenger transportation services, equipment manufacturing and railway construction.
