Xinjiang Women's Federation Donates Supplies to Frontline Medical Staff

 August 13, 2020

The Women's Federation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region sent more than 1,500 sets of supplies to female medical workers who are fighting against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on the front line in Urumqi City, in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on August 5-6.

The supplies included daily necessities and letters of support, bringing greetings and love from the federation.

"This is my second time receiving supplies from the women's federation. I don't have enough time to prepare daily necessities for myself since I've got urgent work to do, so I am grateful for the supplies from the women's federation. I'll continue to make my own efforts in the battle against COVID-19," said a medical worker who has been dispatched to aid Wuhan, the city hit hardest by COVID-19 in China earlier this year.

The donations were sent to the liaisons of 16 medical stations. According to a cadre of the autonomous region's women's federation, the women's federations at all levels in the autonomous region will continue to support the "warriors in white" and their families during these tough times.
