A lecturers' group composed of recipients of the honorary title of the Beijing Most Beautiful Family was established on May 15, the International Day of Families, to give full play to the exemplary role of advanced families and motivate the people to learn from the most beautiful families.

The first online stories-sharing activity was also held on that day. Four recipients of the honorary title of the Beijing Most Beautiful Family in the first quarter of 2020 told their stories about how to stick to the posts for treating patients infected with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), how to make their own efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, and how they resume work and production.

Liu Yuhang, the youngest member of the medical team from Beijing Shijitan Hospital to aid the fight against the COVID-19 in Central China's Hubei Province, shared her stories on the front line of the anti-virus battle. Inspired by her mother who joined the battle against SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) 17 years ago, Liu overcame  difficulties to fulfill her medical treatment duties.

Wang Danning and her husband Zhang Nan participated in the epidemic prevention and control work at grassroots level. Wang lead a team to supervise and inspect the epidemic prevention and control work at 100-plus spots. Zhang had been on guard at a village since the Chinese New Year's Eve, for promoting the epidemic prevention and control work and the resumption of work and production.

Zhang Yanping is a community worker and her husband is a police officer. The couple stuck to their posts and participated in the community-based epidemic prevention and control work. They helped build stringent lines of defense at grassroots level.

Ruan Zheng, a member of the medical team from Beijing to support Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, fought on the front line of the anti-virus battle. Cao Jie, Ruan's husband and a police officer, stuck to his post day and night for protecting people's safety.

The lectures attracted more than 600,000 viewers online. Many netizens said they would learn from these families and strive to develop most beautiful families.

A league composed of most beautiful families and a league for providing services to most beautiful families were established on the same day, which aimed to encourage the model families, with professional expertise and passion for public welfare undertakings, to offer public services to the society. In the meanwhile, loving enterprises and social organizations were mobilized to provide caring services to the advanced families.

Over 600,000 households in Beijing have been awarded with the honorary title of the most beautiful family at different levels since the campaign of Looking for the Most Beautiful Family was initiated in 2014. Among them were 1,980 winners at the municipal level.

The lecturers' group composed of most beautiful families will tell their stories online and offline across the city. The most beautiful families will also participate in a series of activities with the theme of social governance, garbage sorting and public services, to enrich families' life and give full play to the important role of family and family education and traditions in social governance at grassroots level.
