Women Party Members Ensure Daily Necessities for Residents in S China's Guangxi

 March 7, 2020

Chen Honggang, Secretary of the Party branch of a housekeeping company in Nanning, capital city of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, leads a team to help residents in a closed-off community because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) purchase the daily necessities and deliver the materials for free.

The 16-member team consists of eight women Party members and eight activists who have applied for Party membership in the housekeeping company. They have been braving the risk of infection by serving the residents since early February.

According to Chen, some residents wished to give them money for the delivery service, but they refused. She said it's a Party members' obligation to help people in need amid the epidemic outbreak.

The team members also offered voluntary services to three other communities in the city.
