An exhibition of cheongsam, a classic one-piece and figure-fitting Chinese dress for women that originated in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), opened in Nanning Museum, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on August 6.
Co-organized by Shanghai History Museum and Nanning Museum, the exhibition showcases 50 examples of Shanghai-style cheongsam and 12 sets of ornaments in four sections, displaying the development of the traditional garment from the beginning of the last century to today.
