Chinese Fantasy Thriller 'Assassin in Red' Set for February 2021 Release

BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua)  — Assassin in Red, a Chinese fantasy thriller film adapted from a novel of the same name, is set for release in China on Feb. 12, 2021, the Spring Festival, according to the film's official Weibo account.

The storyline revolves around a father who is desperate to find his missing daughter and agrees to help a mysterious woman assassinate a novelist.

Directed by Lu Yang, the film has a cast led by actor Lei Jiayin and popular actress Yang Mi.

A trailer has been released for Assassin in Red.
