ACWF President Stresses Upholding CPC Leadership in Whole Process of Women's Federations' Work and Making New Achievements Under New Development Paradigm

Shen Yueyue, President of the All-China Women's Federation, conducted an inspection tour to Nanjing, capital city of East China's Jiangsu Province, on December 12 to further promote the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to women in communities.

Noting the importance of studying and implementing the spirit of the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the spirit of the fifth plenary session, Shen stressed taking a people-centered approach, depending on women, taking root in women and serving them, and bringing about new breakthroughs and more contributions in building a new development paradigm and achieving high-quality development.

Shen inspected a community service center in Dongshan Sub-district. She spoke highly of the role of social organizations and the executive committee of the community's women's federation, composed of women community workers and auxiliary police officers, in participating in grid-based social governance and helping women solve their problems in life such as caring for children and the elderly.

Shen noted that women's federations should guide, serve and contact women at a grassroots level that covers all the families, learn about women and families' requirements, provide people with targeted, professional services according to their needs and meet people's growing expectations for a better life.

During her inspection tour of a parents' school in Nitang Community, Shen learned about the innovative achievements of the community-based family-education supporting action initiated by the Jiangsu Women's Federation. She urged staff members of the local women's federation to foster virtue through education, innovate working contents and forms, and attract young parents to participate in family education activities held by the community.

Shen called for efforts to cultivate good habits in children in life, study and work and to provide diversified, convenient family education guidance services according to the urgent needs of local people.

In the community's family mediation office, Shen urged the workers to summarize and study how to give play to the role of women and families in primary-level social governance in an innovative way, better serving the overall situation and serving women.

Shen also inspected a "women's field class" in Shecun Village, Dongshan Sub-District, to publicize the spirit of the fifth plenary session among women and to learn about the situation of live-streamed commerce.

Shen spoke with homestay hotel hostesses, women teachers of Party schools and women live-streamers, encouraging them to continue to share the CPC's new theories, agricultural science and technology, practical skills and management ideas with women villagers.

During her inspection tour, Shen spoke highly of the new achievements made by the Jiangsu Women's Federation, including deepening reforms, strengthening guiding, serving and contacting women, cooperating with all social circles, connecting with all kinds of women human resources, promoting women's work and giving play to the key role of family and family education and tradition in social governance at a primary level.
