A book containing stories of Chinese women who have shaken off poverty has been published in English, Spanish and Portuguese by China Women's Publishing House.
The book, titled Diligence and Happiness: Stories of Chinese Women Shaking off Poverty, contains the stories of more than 50 women, across the country, including role models in shaking off poverty and the cadres of the women's federations who helped the women. The touching stories highlight the achievements made by Chinese, especially Chinese women, in poverty relief, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. It was compiled by the Department for Women's Development and the Liaison Department, both under the All-China Women's Federation.
