The Global Leaders' Meeting on Women carries the expectations of women worldwide, and it serves as an important opportunity for the global community to discuss the development of women's cause. I hope this event will both build consensus and promote substantive breakthroughs in promoting gender equality.
China bears a great responsibility in promoting gender equality and women's all-round development. We should continue advancing the spirit of the Fourth World Conference on Women, summarizing our experiences, continuing exploration and innovation, and contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to the development of global women's cause. We should also strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and work together with women, around the world, to create a fair, harmonious and beautiful world.
In the field of education, I hope the upcoming Global Leaders' Meeting on Women will help ensure equal access to education for girls, and also raise women's educational level. In employment, I hope it will help eliminate gender discrimination, create quality jobs for women, and support women's innovation and entrepreneurship. In health, I hope it will increase attention to and investment in women's health. In political participation, I hope it will encourage more women to participate in decision-making, and help enhance women's political representation.
