Changchun Women's Federation (in Northeast China's Jilin Province) organized several activities, in early April, to support the development of women sci-tech workers in the city. The activities focused on four topics: Artificial intelligence (AI), science and technology policies, the optoelectronics industry, and application of scientific achievements.
Song Xuan, a professor from Jilin University, was invited to give a lecture on AI applications in literature analysis, experimental design, medical research and development, data mining and various other scenarios. Song explained how participants can efficiently use AI tools to improve research efficiency, and also broaden innovative thinking.
An employee with the Changchun Municipal Science and Technology Bureau explained the support policies for sci-tech innovation, and answered the participants' questions on translating research outcomes into practical applications.
The women sci-tech workers also engaged in immersive learning at Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. and Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The activities helped the women sci-tech workers improve their professional capabilities, and brought together Changchun's scientific and technological innovation resources. The federation intends to continue focusing on the needs of women sci-tech workers, helping women grow and excel and advancing the development of new quality productive forces, with women's wisdom.
