An activity related to Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation was jointly held by Jiangxi Women's Federation (JWF) and Jiangxi Academy of Sciences with the theme of integrating intelligence into big health industry, winning the future via sci-tech innovation in Jingdezhen, a city in East China's Jiangxi Province on December 1, 2024.
Qian Yun, President of the JWF, said that the big health industry is closely related to the health and wellbeing of each individual and that it is one of the major drivers of high-quality economic and social development. She said that women sci-tech workers and entrepreneurs have injected new vitality and momentum into the big health industry with their unique perspective and vision.
Qian said the activity was expected to further stimulate women's enthusiasm of sci-tech innovation, and she hoped that women sci-tech workers and entrepreneurs will jointly promote the commercialization of research results, generate new momentum for Jiangxi's development, and foster new quality productive forces.
Wu Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Jingdezhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, said that during the past years, the city has further deepened the reform of management system for science and technology, strengthened the building of its scientific research forces, adopted a series of supportive policies concerning ceramics, aerospace, fine chemical and pharmaceuticals, providing sci-tech talents and entrepreneurs with broader development space and better services.
Noting that women entrepreneurs have made tremendous contributions to economic and social development, Wu welcomed attendees to share their experience and vision and strive together for a bright future.
Zhang Guoyong, Vice-President of Jiangxi Academy of Sciences, said that women sci-tech workers and entrepreneurs have played an irreplaceable role in sci-tech innovation. The activity was aimed at building a platform of exchanges, cooperation and common development for women sci-tech talents and entrepreneurs to strengthen their communication and cooperation with potential business partners, and facilitate the commercialization and application of scientific and technological achievements.
