The third edition of the lectures, "Growth Path for Women Students in Tourism Major," was held at Xinjiang University, in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, in early March. It was organized by the Tourism Education Committee and the Women Tourism Committee of the China Tourism Association, under the guidance of the ACWF Social Liaison, Exchanges and Cooperation Center.
The lecture brought together, offline, more than 300 women students from Xinjiang University's tourism major, while more than 13,000 people, from more than 150 universities across China, participated via live stream.
During the activity, Li Linghui, Vice-President of Xinjiang Women's Federation, and Shawulie Yimahazi, Vice-Principal of Xinjiang University, delivered speeches. They encouraged the students to leverage their expertise to promote the region's tourism and development.
Li Yun, President of the Women Tourism Committee of the China Tourism Association, delivered the keynote speech. She shared insights from her own experiences. She also encouraged students to seize opportunities, brought by integration of the culture and tourism industries, to make contributions in the new era.
Zhang Jingrui, academician with the International Academy of Astronautics and professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, said students should pay attention to the integration of technology and tourism, and take the initiative to improve themselves, leverage their strengths and broaden their career-development prospects.
The activity featured lively discussions, with Li Yun and Zhang offering guidance in career planning and industry-development trends. The event provided the students with guidance in their career development and personal growth.
