Jiangxi Women's Federation and Jiangxi Provincial Department of Justice promulgate a document to better help women and children protect their legal rights and interests. [For Women of China]

To better help women and children protect their legal rights and interests, Jiangxi (in East China) Women's Federation and Jiangxi Provincial Department of Justice recently promulgated a document, in which the organizations' officials offered suggestions on how to improve cooperation between law firms and women's federations, at all levels across the province, as they establish women and children's rights-protection stations across Jiangxi.

As stipulated in the document, every women's federation, at the county (municipal or district) level in Jiangxi, should establish a women and children's rights-protection station and/or improve the station's rights-protection services by the end of June 2021.

The document defines the stations' responsibilities, including offering women and children legal counseling and/or sharing information with them, so they can better protect their rights and interests. The document also stipulates the stations should receive calls, letters and/or visits from women, and/or provide advice to women, to help them better protect their and/or their children's legal rights and interests. The document also makes clear the stations' workers should protect women and children's privacy when they are handling cases involving the infringement of the women and children's rights and interests.

In addition, the document stipulates the federations and the justice bureaus should share the advanced experiences of their stations, so they can benefit from the experiences of stations across the province, so the organizations can better help women and children protect their rights and interests.
