Movie, as a communication medium and a type of art that has profound influence, can expose violent and discriminative treatment women have received in social reality. This paper discusses a series of movies on women's issues and attempts to explain how the mainstream use of "heroic" and "sacred" action styles to design violence can be gendered and transformed for female story-telling as opposed to "male" movie scripts. It also explores the cultural significance of these styles of narration as well as their side effects.
