The Second Zhejiang Women's Sports Festival & Fourth Jiaxing Citizens' Sports Festival were jointly held by the Sports Bureau of Zhejiang, Zhejiang Women's Federation, Zhejiang Federation of Trade Union, and other local government departments in Jiaxing, a city in east China's Zhejiang Province, on October 11-13.

The four-day festival aimed to further increase local women's enthusiasm towards sports and provide them with a platform to demonstrate their talents in games. It drew the attendance of 102 delegations with nearly 50,000 participants from all walks of life.

Earlier this May, delegates showed strong interest in the sports festival and engaged in primary competitions before winning qualifications. They competed in 28 sports at the sports festival, which ranged from badminton, rope-skipping and aerobic gymnastics to manual production of glutinous rice dumplings or Zongzi wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, modeling, yoga and other events.

After intensive competition, the delegations of Ningbo, Zhejiang Association of Health and Sports, Pinghu and others took first place in separate events at the sports festival.

Those present at the sports festival's closing ceremony included Yang Pingyuan, vice-inspector of the Sports Bureau of Zhejian; Shen Jianxin, vice-president of Zhejiang Women's Federation; Chai Yongqiang, vice-mayor of Jiaxing Municipal People's Government; and Liu Songjie, director of the Sports Bureau of Jiaxing, who also presented awards to honored delegations.
