The final round of a contest to vote for excellent individuals who have read an impressively large number of qualified books in their spare time, was jointly held by the Committee on Women's Affairs for Staff from Governmental Bodies and the Sound of Zhejiang in Hangzhou, capital city of southeast China's Zhejiang Province, on April 22, 2015.
The event aimed to help local residents further develop their enthusiasm toward literary readings and to enrich their daily life.
A total of around 100 governmental employees from 70 provincial governmental departments across the entire region took part in the competition, after first making it through the preliminary rounds held back in their personal departments earlier this year, in March.
In the end, 11 contestants entered into the contest finals, demonstrated to the audience their reading prowess and superiority and were presented with trophies for their excellence.
The categories of their read books range from politics, economics, history and culture to science and best-selling novels.
