In recent years, Liaoning Women's Federation has launched Loving Mothers' Care, a campaign to care for "left-behind" children, or those who remain in rural areas while their parents have migrated to larger cities for work.

A total of 34,000 "left-behind children" have benefited from the campaign. The women's federation also built the "Realizing Left-Behind Children's Dreams" public service platform in 2016 to help these children get donations from caring people.

Members of the women's federation together with psychological counselors presented 100 bags to 22 "left-behind" children at Yingfang primary school in Tongyuanpu County, north of Dandong City, northeast China's Liaoning Province on March 17. Loving mothers selected a certain child as their "own child" and promised to see the child at regular intervals.

The women's federation called on society to focus on the needs of "left-behind" children and promote care for needy children through media channels.
