Addressing the launch ceremony, the President of Hubei Women's Federation Xiao Juhua said that the Hubei Provincial Government attaches great importance to the activity, which is closely tied to the wellbeing of local residents. She called on the women to contribute their efforts to beautifying the rural countryside environment.

Local village official Li Wenjiao pledged that residents in her village would actively participate in the activity and extend their help to needy people.

On the sidelines of the launch ceremony, local outstanding volunteer organizations were awarded by the Hubei Women's Federation for their charity efforts over the past several years.

Also in attendance at the launch ceremony were other officials from the Hubei Women's Federation and the local government.
