Hubei Provincial Women's Federation held last Saturday a Women Students Business and Employment Training Fair at Zhongnan University of Economics. Members of the province's Women Entrepreneurs Association who had been invited carried out onsite summer employment business training activities with students.
To promote women's entrepreneurship and employment of women students, Hubei Provincial Women's Federation and the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association jointly launched in May the entrepreneurship and Employment of Female Students Action pilot scheme at Zhongnan University of Economics. The scheme has so far held included a Women College Students' Entrepreneurship and Employment Public Lecture and an SYB (Start your Business) Training Course for Woman College Students. Hubei provincial Women's Federation has called for a broad entrepreneurship and employment base for women students and for an instructor who is a member of the Women Entrepreneurs Association – a suggestion that received a positive response from women entrepreneurs. The 11 enterprises, which included Hubei Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., that brought to the fair almost 500 jobs for women students were named the second batch of enterprises offering entrepreneurship and employment opportunities to women college students. Represen tatives of the enterprises were also hired as women students' entrepreneurship and employment mentors.
A Provincial Women's Federation worker said at the fair that this type of activity acts as a bridge between enterprises and women college students and provides opportunities for communication and understanding between them. Establishment of entrepreneurship and employment relationships between enterprises and women college students gives these young women access to career guidance and follow-up training which lays the foundations for their future businesses. Enterprises and women entrepreneurs, moreover, are capable of attracting more talents while carrying out their social responsibilities.
