A meeting on the theme of caring for cervical and breast cancer patients kicked off on May 9 in Hezhou City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, aiming to call on the whole of society to pay more attention to women's health.

The campaign was co-sponsored by Hezhou Women's Federation, Hezhou Health and Family Planning Commission and China Life Insurance Company's Hezhou branch.

The event aimed to control the death rate of the "two cancers" (cervical and breast cancer) in women and improve women's ability to respond to health risks by virtue of their insurance.

At the event, organizers came up with three requirements for all participants.

First, all participants should realize the importance of having insurance against the two cancers.

Related departments should enhance collaboration and make solid progress in implementing insurance systems.

Moreover, it is necessary to step up publicity campaigns to provide more knowledge about the two cancers.
