The women's federation in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and working committees of colleges and universities in the local area recently jointly held a training session themed "Advanced Gender Culture" at Guangxi Normal University.
Around 100 people including university leaders of different departments and core teachers, as well as staff members of the regional publicity department in the promotion of the State policy of gender equity, all took part in the event.
Wang Gebing, president of the federation, gave a lecture titled "The Advanced Gender Culture and the Undergraduate's Growth and Development." Wang emphasized the importance of taking advantage of "Advanced Gender Culture" to lead students to develop themselves and become contributing members of society.
In addition, Li Huiying, professor of the research institution of social development in the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and Wang Nan, secretary of the Party committee at Guangxi Normal University, delivered lectures respectively at the ceremony as well.
During the interactive section, participants sparked a heated discussion on how to conduct the theme among universities. Meanwhile, all students actively expressed their ideas and put forward their own constructive suggestions.
Li Meiqing, minister of the publicity department in the region, said that multiple measures should be adopted to help students form correct attitudes towards love, marriage, career and views of talent-cultivation.
