Recently, women's federations across south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have organized a series of activities to assist underprivileged women in their employment, business start-ups and  physical health. Many employment focused projects arose from the collaborative campaign begun by Guangxi Women's Federation and Guangxi Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development on April 13.

A total of 141,400 yuan (U.S.$ 21,789.7) was collected from women entrepreneurs at a fund-raising event held in Yulin City on April 15 to improve the lives of local target women. In addition, local business women bonded with the beneficiaries to help them find networks to use in the future at the event.

On the same day, Hechi Women's Federation teamed up with Hechi Shunyi Food Processing to send thousands of kilograms of ginger to local farmers at Tea Mountain Village in Dongxing Township of Huanjiang County. Experts from Shunyi Food Processing, which was responsible for the collection of ginger and its sales, taught techniques for growing the crop and increasing harvests.

Meanwhile, women's federation in Chongzuo organized local medical practitioners to visit residents at border villages and speak with them about precautionary methods to prevent disease.
