Staff members from the Guangxi Women's Federation and members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) sponsored a lecture for residents from the Tanpai Community of Baiwei Township in Shanglin County, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, about how to better raise their kids and brought with them funds and daily necessities to local poverty-stricken families during a visit on June 29.

There, the community has a large group of "left-behind" children (whose parents have left them to find work in different cities), and many of the local adults have held outdated mindsets and practices about home education. In response, Teng Jiezhen, an expert from the Guangxi Women Cadres' School, was invited by the federation to speak with locals about useful tips in relation to the parenting of children under current social circumstances.

In addition, staff members from the Guangxi Women's Federation sent cash and daily necessities to 13 underprivileged families, and held inspections for the development of women's employment at nearby agricultural bases.

The latest visit was part of multiple efforts undertaken by the Guangxi Women's Federation to implement President Xi Jinping's instructions on the observance of the "Three Stricts and Three Honests" principles, which were raised last March, as a series of necessary requirements for officials to improve their lives and professional work. The principles refer to "strictness in morals, powers and self-discipline; and honesty in decision-making, business and behavior".
