The Lanzhou-based Duzhe Publishing and Media Group, China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (CCAFC) and Beijing Radiant Children's Eye Hospital (BRCEH) jointly held an activity to provide free medical check-ups to underprivileged visually impaired students from Shidong Elementary School in Gaolan County and Yantan Elementary School in Lanzhou City, northwest China's Gansu Province, on December 19-24, 2012.

The activity was aimed at providing the children with free medical treatment and helping them regain their health.

During the activity, experts from the Vision Impaired Foundation Office under the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and the BRCEH medically examined 622 local students, 78 of whom were later diagnosed with amblyopia.

Meanwhile, two representative beneficiaries of the activity expressed their gratitude to Duzhe, CCAFC and the BRCEH for their efforts.

The children will be provided with medical treatment at the BRCEH, under the financial assistance of Duzhe.
