CWU Hosts Leadership Seminar for Female Officials from Developing Countries

China Women's University (CWU) held an opening ceremony for a new 21-day seminar on leadership skills for female officials from developing countries on June 14. 

The event was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) and CWU. 

Liu Mingzhe, vice-president of the International Business Officials' Training Institute (IBOTI); Song Wenyan, vice-minister of the International Liaison Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF); Cai Runyuan, deputy director of the IBOTI; and, CWU vice-president Wang Jingxia participated in the events, and delivered speeches. Ye Shuiping, director of the CWU's International Cooperation Department, presided over the gathering.

Some 58 female officials from 23 developing countries attended the session, including representatives from Armenia, Botswana, Pakistan, Chile, Fiji, Ghana, Granada, Guyana, Kenya, Malawi, Mexico, Lebanon, and South Africa. Naira Sedrakyan, an official from Armenia, gave a lecture on behalf of all the trainees. 
 
In order to further improve the trainees' professional accomplishments, and deepen their understanding towards China, the organizers arranged some practical teaching sessions, and visited several  advanced communities, as well as a female entrepreneurs base in Zhejiang Province.
