CWU Students Win Prizes in Eighth "Computer Design Competition"

Nine design works selected by the CWU won prizes in the finals of the eighth Computer Design Competition held in Hangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Kunming simultaneously.

CWU Students Win Prizes in Eighth ‘Computer Design Competition‘

The competition was organized by Computer Science and Technology, Computer Basics Course Teaching, and Liberal Arts Computer Basics Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education. It was a technological competition for undergraduates from different majors throughout China.

The competition was divided into three major categories including software application and development, teaching courseware, and digital media design. A total of 5000 students from 500 colleges including Peking University, Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications participated in the competition.

After the intense competitions, nine works won prizes. One work won the first prize, Second place was given out to four other works, and four pieces won third place in four small categories: Chinese national culture, mathematics media, digital media, and software service outsourcing.

The students' achievements are all thanks to the elaborate organization, selfless work, and careful guidance of the Computer Science Department of CWU. The entries were proof of the success of teaching reform and practice. Students applied everything they learned from the Computer Science Department, showing off their technical skills and the principles of CWU. This experience can provide valuable reference to deepen computer teaching reform in the future.
