Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) and President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Chen Zhili met with a visiting South Korean women's delegation headed by Kim Kum-lae, the minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family (MOGEF), in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on June 25.
Chen welcomed the delegation, which was visiting China to commemorate the 20th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations between the two countries. She said she hoped the two sides would enhance the communication between women and female organizations from both countries on the occasion of the anniversary of diplomatic ties and in a year of friendly exchanges between the two countries.
Chen said the ACWF and the MOGEF were expected to promote understanding and friendship and cooperation between two peoples, including women from the two countries, and to contribute to a greater extent to the healthy development of bilateral ties.
Kim Kum-lae said she agreed with Chen on the positive development of bilateral relations and on the importance of two countries' women's communication and cooperation.
