Young Girl Hits Elderly Man, Quits Job to Look After Him

Recently, an 18-year-old girl named Shi Fangli hit an elderly man surnamed Han with her electric bicycle in Yanjiao Township in Sanhe City in north China's Hebei Province. Shi immediately sent Han to the hospital. She even quit her job to look after him.

Han was taken to hospital covered in blood. After diagnosis, he was shown to have broken several ribs, and he had a slight concussion. The doctor said that it’s going to take at least two months for him to recovery.

Shi admitted that the collision was her fault, and she was willing to assume full responsibility including all the costs. Han didn’t blame Shi for this. “I told her she did not escape and therefore I had more time, I wanted to thank her, I do not blame her," Han said.

To everyone’s surprise, Shi quit her job and intended to look after him full time.

"She cried and insisted on looking after me, even giving me all her salary, but I said no," Han said. He was impressed by her integrity and honesty and thus he decided not to ask for any further remedy from her.

Han’s family further learned that Shi comes from a rather poor family, so they helped her find a new job in Beijing.

Shi confirmed that she had got the new job, and said she would start working in March.
