A press conference was jointly held by the Zhejiang Women's Federation, the Zhejiang Provincial Commission on Health and Family Planning, the China Women's Development Foundation, the Zhejiang Women and Children's Foundation, and the Urban Press in Hangzhou, capital city of southeast China's Zhejiang Province, on April 25, 2015 to celebrate the establishment of the "Yue Fund" as well as the official kick-off of the "Zhejiang's Long March to Women's Health" campaign.

Co-sponsored by the Zhejiang Women and Children's Foundation and Shanghai-based ZJ Bio-tech Co., Ltd, the "Yue Fund" aims to provide local underprivileged women with both free medical check-ups for breast and cervical cancer and ensuing financial assistance; to provide lectures to teach women about personal hygiene and other similar issues; to build a platform for charity hospitals to hold exchanges with each other; to make further improvements to medical facilities from economically underdeveloped regions; and to extend much-needed assistance to the "Zhejiang's Long March to Women's Health" campaign.

The "Zhejiang's Long March to Women's Health" campaign has been founded by the Zhejiang Women and Children's Foundation and the Urban Express to help women from all walks of life across the entire region further enhance their knowledge of physical health and relevant topics, and to provide for them in terms of knowledge, concepts, services and health.

At the unveiling ceremony, it was announced that a total of 50 local hospitals have formed an alliance for women's health under the support of women's federations. As part of this new cooperation initiative, they are expected to hold free medical check-ups and training for poverty-stricken women against cancer and other common diseases across the entire province over the coming months.
