Regional deputies to China's National People's Congress (NPC) joined panel discussions at their respective province-based subsectors in Beijing on March 14.

At the session, lawmakers deliberated on major issues including the draft for the general provisions of civil law, the revised draft decision on the quota and election of the 13th NPC deputies, and an amended draft on the election of deputies in south China's Hong Kong and Macao.

Furthermore, lawmakers reviewed the decision of the NPC National Committee to accept Xu Xianming's request for resignation as a member of the 12th NPC Standing Committee.
