China's two sessions, which kicked off on Sunday and will last for about two weeks, are attracting increasing international attention.

The second session of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the national political advisory body, and National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, will start their annual sessions in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 3 and 5, respectively.

Aside from focusing on domestic affairs, China's two sessions also features far-reaching influence on world affairs, according to the Guardian.

Economic growth is the primary reason why the world follows China's annual sessions.

Against the backdrop of a transforming global economic landscape and rising protectionism and unilateralism, economic globalization is showing signs of faltering with the multilateralism and trade liberalization system impacted, as risks and challenges increase.

Meanwhile, China has impressed the world with its remarkable economic performance. In 2018, China saw its GDP increase by 6.6 percent to 13.6 trillion U.S. dollars, contributing about 30 percent to global growth.

In view of theses figures, Nikkei Business Daily said that China’s future path will definitely have profound implications on the Asian and global economy.

The two sessions arouse considerable interest by providing a unique window on China. Matters of public interest including anti-graft activities, ecological protection, targeted poverty alleviation, policies on social security and housing will be thoroughly discussed between heads of government bodies, deputies from all walks of life and the public before plans are revised or rolled out.

All of these may provide the world answers as to why China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been maintaining continuous and steady development for years.

China's two sessions have become the focus after China brought hope to the world with its creative Belt and Road Initiative and proposal to build a community with a shared future for all mankind. When the world is confronted with a shifting global governance system, China remains steadfast in its commitment to closely link its future and destiny with that of the people of all countries and make contributions to the noble cause of world peace and development. China has been widely recognized by the international community as a contributor to global peace, facilitator of global development and proponent of a just and reasonable international order.
