Qinghai Women's Federation (QWF) in northwest China organized a training session in the city of Xining on September 13 to help recently-elected candidate delegates prepare for the 12th National Women's Congress of China.
The training seminar was also held to deepen candidates' understanding of personal responsibilities and duties, and boost competence and awareness in their execution of political rights during the high-level gathering.
Speaking with trainees, QWF vice-president Dai Ji called on them to better exercise their political rights and responsibilities, remain closely relevant in political participation, put forward personal views and proposals towards set topics, ensure the voices of women in Qinghai are heard, and present a positive image of the province.
During the event, Tian Xiaohong, a delegate to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Wang Lanying, a professor from the Party School of the Qinghai Provincial Committee of the CPC, were invited to lecture on the key points of the 19th CPC National Congress and fourth session of the 13th Qinghai Provincial Committee of the CPC, respectively.
The pair also talked with participants about conditions in Qinghai and of local women, and gave an introduction on the constitution of the All-China Women's Federation.
