Anhui Women's Federation Holds Latest Executive Committee Meeting

Anhui Women's Federation (AWF) held the seventh plenary session of its 12th Executive Committee on August 14 in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province.

The meeting drew the attendance of over 100 officials from leading group of AWF, members of the Executive Committee, presidents of city-level women's federations and heads of other AWF departments.

At the meeting, Wang Haixia and other five officials substituted for six members of the 12th Executive Committee of AWF, and 48 candidates were elected for the delegates to attend the 12th National Women's Congress of China on behalf of Anhui.

Attendees at the meeting also reviewed and approved the Decision of Convening the 13th Anhui Provincial Women's Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, Liu Ping, secretary of the Leading Party Group of AWF, summarized the work of the federation this year, and announced the key tasks for the future.

Liu put forward specific requirements for the preparations of the provincial women's congress, and urged women's federations at all levels to work with a strong sense of political responsibility, and solidly and consciously complete the selection of delegates, drafting of the congress report and publicity work of the congress with high standards, so that they could greet the provincial and national congresses with outstanding work performance.
