The All-China Women's Federation held yesterday the Family Education Research Conference in Beijing which published the Wisdom of Modern Family Education Series and the China Family Education Yearbook (2008-2009).
The Wisdom of Modern Family Education Series, edited by the All-China Women's Federation and China Family Education Association, comprises eight books, one of which consists of guidelines, the other seven focusing on children's age groups of up to 2-years-old, kindergarten, primary, junior high and senior high school, and also children with special needs and special families. The books analyze children's physical and mental characteristics at these ages and provides scientific, practical and feasible guidelines and measures on formulating an effective system of family education.

The ACWF and China Family Education Association also arranged for the production of the series on CD ROM.
China Family Education Yearbook (2008-2009), also edited by the ACWF and China Family Education Association, compiles achievements and developments in work on family education over the two-year period. It presents an objective summary of China's family education in 2008 and 2009.
Present at the meeting was member of the All-China Women's Federation Secretariat Zhao Donghua. Zhao said in her speech at the meeting that family education research should adopt a scientific outlook on development and focus on the current situation and issues of family education with the aim of promoting change in research on family education and provide theoretical support for action in this area.
Zhao also announced the establishment of the ACWF Family Education Guidance Center, whose main responsibilities are to carry out family education research, publicity work, training, guidance, promotion and demonstrations.
