The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the Office of the Central Leading Group for Cyberspace Affairs of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) recently launched a campaign to select 100 inspirational stories of women netizens.
The online selection activity, which started at the beginning of this month, runs till the end of February 2018. The stories should be real and the prototype of the leading character is 14 years old or above.
There are five main categories of stories, including for those who actively shared encouraging stories online; those who used the Internet to carry out public welfare activities and help disadvantaged people; and, those who took action to resist Internet crime and harmful information.
Other categories are for those who used professional skills to guide netizens to strengthen their network security awareness and those who eliminated network security problems and risks.
In addition, the campaign will highlight stories of the creators of short videos and cartoons to spread positive thinking, and those who call on other netizens to surf the Internet in a civilized way.
Women's federations from provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities as well as Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps can respectively submit five stories of netizens to the Publicity Department of the ACWF. The ACWF will then select 100 inspirational stories via online votes and the votes of experts.
The 100 selected stories will be aired to the public and will be published in various media platforms of the ACWF. Moreover, the ACWF will also organize the honorees to share their stories in schools, enterprises and communities to promote the positive energy.
