China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) launched a charity fund in association with a local biotechnology firm in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on May 14, to offer assistance to mothers and children in the region.

The BoRe Charitable Fund aims to spread knowledge by organizing free educational activities on women's reproductive health and professional child-rearing, and to offer financial aid to impoverished families.

The fund is sponsored by the specialist company Chongqing BoRe Biotechnology (CBRB).

Meanwhile, the foundation, CBRB and Chongqing Xueping Health Group jointly held an activity to promote a parenting science popularization and education campaign among mothers the same day.

This year, the campaign will work together with several provincial and city-level maternal and child health units in organizing other similar activities and training classes for pregnant women.

After the launch, experts shared relevant knowledge of child-rearing and family education with participants.

A total of 200 people from different sections of society attended the ceremony.
