The book embodies 360 famous remarks by Mao Zedong about his view on the world, self-reflection, and ways of cultivating morality and handling life's affairs.

"It is a pity that I had never met my grandfather till he passed away in 1976. My grandmother, He Zizhen and my mother Li Min often talked about him and took his instructions as codes of conduct in the family," Kong said. "What he impressed on me most was his perseverance in pursuing his dreams despite all the setbacks."

As the book's planner, Kong also expressed her hope that it can help people at different levels understand the essence of Mao Zedong Thought in an easy way.

According to the bookstore, about 700 copies were sold in one and a half hours during the promotional activity.
