Sun Yiping, CEO of China's leading dairy products manufacturer Mengniu Dairy Company, received the title of Businesswoman of the Year, at the 2016 China Business Mulan Annual Meeting in Beijing on April 10.

Among the other successful businesswomen named at the event were Dong Mingzhu, president of Gree Electric Appliances and Liu Qing, CEO of popular online booking firm Didi Taxi.

After taking her position at Mengniu in 2012, Sun transformed its management regime by introducing the first SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing) system into China's dairy industry.

Then, the ambitious woman started a drive of global cooperation and mergers. Under her leadership, Mengniu reached strategic agreements with Danish dairy producer Arla Foods and the New Zealand service provider Asure Quality, in 2012 and 2013, respectively. The company also finished its acquisition of Yashili New Zealand Dairy Company in 2013.

With a glowing list of achievements, Sun said she feels more confident and vowed to build Mengniu into an international corporation that will make it the most dynamic in China by 2020.
