Chinese lifter Xiang Yanmei won the gold at the women's 69-kilogram category competition of the World Weightlifting Championships on October 24, 2013.

The 21-year-old Chinese girl managed 123kg in the snatch, and then lifted 148kg in the clean and jerk to end the competition with a total of 271kg.

Ryo Un Hui of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea won the silver with a total of 262kg, and the bronze went to Dzina Sazanavets of Belarus who finished with 259kg.
