Chinese Taipei Kuo Hsing-Chun Wins Gold at World Weightlifting Championships
Chinese Taipei lifter Kuo Hsing-Chun won the gold at the women's 58-kilogram category competition of the World Weightlifting Championships on October 23, 2013.[Xinhua]
Chinese Taipei lifter Kuo Hsing-Chun won the gold at the women's 58-kilogram category competition of the World Weightlifting Championships on October 23, 2013.

Kuo managed 108kg in the snatch, and then lifted 133kg in the clean and jerk to end the competition with a total of 241kg.

Escobar Guerrero of Ecuador finished second with 225kg, and the bronze medal went to Elena Shadrina of Russia who finished with a total of 218kg.

Chinese lifter Deng Wei cleared 108kg in snatch, but failed in all her three attempts to lift 133 in clean and jerk.
