Famous Chinese piano teacher Jennifer Wu-Miller and her 400 students staged seven concerts on January 12-13 in Beijing. Harvest was the theme of the concerts. During the International Franz Schubert Piano Competition for Children and Youth, which was held in Vienna, Austria, in August 2018, Wu-Miller's students won 11 gold medals, seven silver medals, seven bronze medals and two awards of excellence.
Wu-Miller opened her studio, Jennifer's Music Classroom, in 2003. She accepted students from China, Canada, France, Japan, the United States and several other countries. Her teaching has been widely recognized, and her students have won numerous awards in domestic and international piano competitions. Wu-Miller has been invited to attend the March 8 International Women's Day Reception at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing several times.
"As a piano teacher, it is important that you love your students, and that you regard teaching students to play piano well as your interest and pride," Wu-Miller says.
"I am satisfied with my students' achievements during the 2018 International Franz Schubert Piano Competition for Children and Youth. We have a very good learning atmosphere in our classrooms. The students are working hard. I am grateful for the trust that the students' parents have bestowed. I hope my students will make greater achievements in 2019," Wu-Miller adds.
